intelligent things

IMG_0398.jpeg

You can’t tell
what’s going to be
workable and
what isn’t.
You get into things
that aren’t going to help
anybody.
You can’t tell
when it’s just going to
lead to
more of the same
old thing.
Nobody’s going to
get anything
out of it.
It’s going to end up
making everybody just more
confused.

You don’t trust
your instinct to tell you
what’s right to do
and
what isn’t.
You keep getting into the wrong situation.
You don’t know
what to give your allegiance
to.
You’re too scattered
to gravitate to
intelligent things.

Intelligent things just
aren’t that
interesting to you.

Your restless mind
runs you around
doing a lifetime
of meaningless
things.

The point is,
people don’t usually
get interested in
intelligent things
because they’re so
interesting.

Usually, they’re not.

They begin to be
a little more interesting
at some point,
simply because they
at least tell you
the truth.

It’s not true because
you heard it
from somebody who is
supposed to know
things,
and they said it.

It’s true because
it just so happens to be
true.

Intelligent things
speak for
themselves.
